John Perron

What’s the deal with David Perron?

St. Louis Blues brass Andy Murray, Larry Pleau, and John Davidson chose to keep the 2007 first round pick Perron after training camp ended, and he’s been a healthy scratch for all but two games this season. On Saturday, Perron only got 4 minutes and 57 seconds of ice time against the Capitals at home in St. Louis. They can use him in 9 games before a year on his pro contract is compromised and then send him down to Peoria; but if they won’t let the kid have more than two shifts against the Caps, who cares if he stays on the Blues roster at all? Anybody have a clue as to what head coach Andy Murray might have been thinking?

-I’m from St. Louis, big BLUES nut.
-I believe they fear his size may get him injured. They should send him to Peoria then. It’s tough when he’s only 19, & his life is in the hands of a coach you know.
