Montreal Canadiens dominance?

if montreal kept all there good players like they used to, would they still be the dominant team they were from the 1920′s to the 1970′s?( like martin st. louis, vincent Lecavalier, jason pominville, daniel briere, simon gagne, luc bourdon, david perron, alex tanguay, martin brodeur, roberto luongo, jp dumont, marc andre fleury, pierre-marc bouchard, mathieu lombardi, phillip boucher, antoine vermette, francois beauchemin and many more) and no, im not from quebec.
well im pretty sure thats what they used to do back then but im just asking and i know they wouldnt in a million years but i just want people’s opinion if they did, then do you think they would still be as dominant as they were?

as mentioned above…it was a different time back then, less teams, different rules regarding drafting, and more of a chance to snag the best players from Quebec….with that said, i don’t think ANY team will ever be as dominant as the Canadiens were in those times. I would be surprised to see any team win 2 cups in a row with the way the league is setup now, let alone 5 in a row….
